My sink faucet keeps running when turned off and now we have a clog in the sink. We have had to turn the water off until the clog is fixed. I have tried using drano and other max gels and nothing has worked. I have tried using a snake and I don’t think it goes far enough top get to the clog. I need this fixed so my family can take a bath!!!!

Call a professional immediately. Make sure you tell them about the drano so they don’t get burned. The leak is easily remedied with a new washer.

a plunger will almost always clear a clog, you can get those pressure blaster things from a home improvement store, the leak is different, that depends on what kind of faucet it is, if it’s the old style just changing the compression washers might do it or you may need a new stem, if it’s a newer style the cartridge or mixer needs to be replaced, they can be tough to remove.

You need to get a big pot of boiling water, I mean as hot as you can get it, and then pour it semi-slowly down the drain.

That will do it. I guarentee.

changa your seats in the tap. people useally change the washers 100 times. if the seat is scored you’ll change the washers 100 more times. as far as the tub, there will be a clean out near you tub. stay away from draino & stuff like that. there very hard on the system.
