That sounds like an awful lot, especially for something that’s an easy DIY job.
Depends on how long it took and if it was an easy swap out. I would expect a minium $25 or $30 for 1/2 hour work from a handyman up to $120 from a professional plumber that had to make some adpations for the proper fit.
If that included the faucet, the price was reasonable. A good plumber should be able to do the job in an hour. ($60 labor)
why pay to have it installed you could have just as easily done it yourself..one of the easiers repairs you can make
I woulda done it myself
The price of a new faucet, plus the workman’s fee, thats all!
I agree, you were unfortunatly ripped off.
sounds reasonable to me. You bought the faucet, I assume. Half hour to drive to your place, half hour to replace it, half hour to drive back. Truck insurance, Liability insurance, gasoline to and from. Someone to answer the phone to make the appointment. And the possibility that another trip (not charged) will be needed if the faucet fails. The man’s wages.
